The Department of Public Safety is a full-time organization providing 24 hour a day police and fire protection to the citizens of the City of Gladstone and the surrounding area. The department takes pride in providing the most professional and efficient service that it can to the 5000 residents of the community it serves.

Our Mission

It is the mission of the Gladstone Public Safety Department to protect, serve and enhance the quality of life within the community of Gladstone by providing comprehensive and professional law enforcement and fire fighting services.

Two rescued from the ice in Gladstone

GLADSTONE — Two first responders in the City of Gladstone just received official commendation by the Gladstone Public Safety Department for their actions during an ice rescue that occurred this winter.

Gladstone Public Safety utilizes a trained canine named Bico for the purposes of search and rescue, search and hold, building searches, drug detection, protection, and public relations events. If you would like to assist in funding this program, please see the links below:
