The city clerk shall be clerk of the commission and shall, with the mayor, sign and attest all ordinances, and the journal or record of the commissioner's proceedings shall be prepared, kept and signed by the city clerk and approved in writing by the mayor. In addition, the clerk shall perform such other duties as are prescribed by the Charter, the general laws of the state or by the commission.
